Wish I maintained a blog when I was in New Zealand. More than likely I would have written in it more than the journal I talked myself into writing every day. Spent more time writing it all freehand then doing more important things, like continuing to get ignorant on the streets of Wanaka with a surplus
s of mighty fine guys running around with desirable accents (see right). Some wild wild times that will never leave that small small town. I'll be revisiting next season, for even more bad decision making and remarkable out comes. And as much as I've said it, it was the best experience of my life. What happened there, what I saw, learned, experienced, I could never convey to someone in full. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but I enjoy I have an experience that no one can have or take away or try to get up on because they "so did the same thing last year." And with that, the quest continues for the endless winters, deepest lines, biggest kickers and free booze.
The new Craig Kelly movie drops in theaters this Fall. To snowboarding and snowboarders everywhere, Craig was many things to the sport and looked at as one of the best riders of all time that broke barriers and set new standards for young guns alike. After "retiring" from the huge spot light, he became a guide in Canada's bitchy, bitter back country, and 4 years ago BC news stated that Craig and 6 others died in an avalanche. It was some serious big news to snowboarding. The movie is about Craig's life and career with past footie and tear jerkin clean cuts. It's big deal to me, I'll land myself a front row seat for one of the best snowboarder the sports ever seen. I grew up idolizing this beast among men, just killing it all around. "Let it Ride" features Craig himself, Jake Burton, Terje Haakonsen and others. Holler. You can watch the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKIClkgzags
(I'm still tryina find out how to post vidz, son)

Mack Dawg Productions did it again with "Picture This." Fucking MDP, this dvd has been hyped more than DOOM DUNK SBs, even with the shitstank winter we were blessed with. Always bein first and on top, like a virgin's first time, raw and awesome. I copped it last night, I'll take 2 hours out and watch it tonight. 30 minutes to get a buzz on, an hour to watch it and 30 minutes to wipe myself down after Andreas Wiig, wigs out. The teaser couldn't do a better job, we'll see what stands. Heaps more of films to watch out for: "Any Means" Rome SDS, "Season 4" Whiteout Films, "Still Bastards" Wildcats (always a good time), "Child Support" Defective Films, "F#*@!" Flow Snowboards, "Thanks Brian" Think Thank, and MDPs 2nd project "We're People Too."

LABOR DAY: Today is our nation's great day to recognize those who have worked hard to make this country great, and what did I do? I worked in its honor. But not only worked, did not receieve time and a half, did not pass GO and did not collect $200. Why? Because I said I'd do it out of the warmth and tenderness of my bleeding heart for Americans tax issues? No. Because having a holiday to embrace the back breaking day to day burn out, means we don't make ends for A day. I sat in a plastic chair infront of the store reading Future Snowboarding and fell asleep. I believe, fully and most confidently, that we spent more money TRYING to cool the shop that was 86 degrees inside, than what was made. Not to mention, people's attitude and heat do not mix in an upper class neighborhood, OOF, assholes sliddin american express black cards as they sweat and ask for discounts like we're COSTCO. Excuse me, last time I checked it was 2007, not 1807 and we're not bartering with shells. Go fuck yourself.
Lastly, with this unforgiving So Cal heat wave, I'm now considering to never come back to LA in summer until the second Ice Age hits and the general incline of temperature starts from -4billion. At 9am this morning the temp already climbed to 90 degrees. What the fuck, we don't live in New Mexico, that's why I live in California, for MID TEMP WEATHER YEAR ROUND. Global warming is fun, by 2035 "they" being white coat wearin Debbie Downers say that I will not have snow to shred on anymore. Granted I'll be well into my 50-60s, I'll be hitting menopause around the same time and the last thing I need is a heat flash at 150 out. Where the fuck is Al Gore? And all those who would like to test that Global Warming is not real, please explain the increase of temperature gaining more speed in recent years and tell my children why they'll have to learn how to SANDBOARD instead.
The saga of the endless winter battle continues. One way or another, I'm out of here, asap. Fingers crossed and candles burned, that I get the job up in Heavenly; if not, then any mountain in the Tahoe area, so I can get out of LA, on with a new chapter, have hot tub parties and shovel my car out for work. I have a way of getting things done, I always do. When I say, I do, and in the biggest ways. Big thangs happenin these next few years. Live reckless, Welcome to '08.
